To unnecessitate the cost of dust treatment and to save the space of the whole apparatus by dipping and cooling a casting into high temp. water, taking out from the high temp. water, drying with the heat held in the casting itself and executing the shot blasting treatment.
A work transferring feeder 3 is arranged at the following step of a vibrating conveyor 1 and the transferred casting thereat is charged into a cage 4. A water vessel 7 is arranged at a piston on the way of circulation of a cage carrying conveyor 6. The casting is dipped into the water vessel 7 together with the cage 4 with a lifter 8 (elevating/lowering means). The high temp. water at about 90°C is incorporated in the water vessel 7 to cool the casting. The casting is taken out from the high temp. water and the casting is dried with the heat held in the casting itself. The cage 4 incorporating the casting is carried to a transferring conveyor 5 from the conveyor 6 and further, transferred to a shot blasting device 9, and the shot blasting treatment is executed to the casting. By this method, the casting can be cooled in a short time and the dusting quantity can be restrained.
