Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent for imparting electrostatic coating properties and improving water resistance of coating film, by which it is possible to carry out the electrostatic coating just after molding and to provide a coating film after the coating excellent in water resistance without applying an electroconductive primer for undercoating at the time of performing the electrostatic coating on a styrene-based resin molding product, and further a resin molding product using the agent.
SOLUTION: This agent for imparting electrostatic coating properties and improving the water resistance of a coating film comprises a combination of (A) 100 pts.wt. aromatic ring-containing polyether ester amide, derived form a polymide having carboxyl groups at both terminals and 500-5,000 number-average molecular weight and an alkylene oxide adduct to bisphenols having 1,600-3,000 number-average molecular weight and having 0.5-4.0 reduced viscosity (measured by using a 0.5wt.% solution in m-cresol at 5°C) with (B) 5-100 pts.wt. modified vinyl copolymer containing (b1) a vinyl monomer having sulfonic acid (sulfonate) group and (b2) a vinyl monomer having a functional group reactive with the component A as an essential constituent unit. A part or all of the components may be reacted.
