Abstract:
To obtain the obesity-preventing agent capable of preventing the obesity caused by the excessive intake of energy by including a mixture comprising the extracts of two kind of specific plants.
This agent for preventing the obesity contains a mixture comprising (A) the extract of Galcinia cambogia containing (-)-hydroxycitric acid and (B) the extract of mulberry leaves containing 1-deoxynojirimycin preferably in a (A):(B) weight ratio of 1:(0.2-5). The obesity-preventing agent is used e.g. for confections such as biscuits and cookies, ice creams, various kinds of juices or drinks, etc. Since the natural materials are used, the agent cause no trouble on acute toxicity.
