Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an agent useful to prevent and suppress the ulcer induced by antiphlogistices, etc., containing a monoamineoxidase-inhibiting agent or its salt as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: An agent containing monoamineoxidase-inhibiting agent or its pharmacologically permissible salt [e.g. trans-(±)-2-phenylcyclopropylamine (Tranylcypromine)]. The agent prevents or suppresses the gastric ulcer induced by antiphlogistics such as Indomethacin, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc. It is desirable to use the antiphlogistics together with the monoamineoxidase-inhibitor.
