Title:
AGENT FOR PROMOTING GROWTH OF INDEFINITE EMBRYO
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02195829
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform the induction and growth of an indefinite embryo in high efficiency by adding filtrate of microalgae culture liquid and/or extract of microalgae as an indefinite embryo growth promoter to a basal medium and culturing a plant tissue or cultured cell in the medium.

CONSTITUTION: Microalgae such as Chlamydomonas dorsobentralis or Chlorella vulgaris are cultured and the product is subjected to centrifugal separation or filtration, etc. The obtained filtrate of cultured microalgae and/or the cells are extracted by contacting with an aqueous solvent. The extract is used as an indefinite embryo growth promoter and added to a basal medium such as Murashige-Skoog medium. A plant tissue or cultured cell is cultured in the medium to enable the efficient reproduction of a plant body via an indefinite embryo.
