PURPOSE: To obtain an agent for suppressing hepatic disorder, by using cysteine- glucuronic acid or cysteine glucuronolactone or their salt as essential component.

CONSTITUTION: The objective agent for suppressing hepatic disorder contains the compound of formula I (COOM1 is salt-type carboxyl; COOM2 is free or salt-type carboxyl), the compound of formula II or their salt (preferably Na salt, K salt, Ca salt, Mg salt, Al salt, etc.). The agent suppresses the generation of acute and chronic hepatic disorder,the rise of GOT, GPT and hydroxypurin value, the development of hepatic fibrillation such as hepatocirrhosis and the increase of hepatic TG value caused by intake of alcohol. It can be administered by oral or parenteral means at a dose of 1W5,000mg/day/person for oral administration or 1W2,000mg/day/person for injection in 1 W several divided doses.
