Title:
AGGLOMERATE POWDER MADE OF CROSSLINKED ALLYL COPOLYMER MICROPARTICLES AND HAVING IMPROVED DISINTEGRABILITY AND DISPERSIBILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3511905
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agglomerate powder made of crosslinked allyl copolymer microparticles and obtained by separating aqueous medium from its aqueous emulsion and capable of being easily disintegrated and dispersed into the initial individual microparticles when dispersed in an organic matrix.
SOLUTION: There is provided an agglomerate powder obtained by separating aqueous medium from an aqueous emulsion containing crosslinked allyl copolymer microparticles having a mean particle diameter of 0.5 μm or below and obtained by emulsion-copolymerizing (a) above 40 to 80 wt.% diallyl phthalate with (b) 0.05-2 wt.% α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and (c) the balance of a vinyl monomer selected among 1-8C acrylic acid esters and methacrylic acid esters in each of which the alcohol moiety is of a 1-8C.
