Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide aggregates of biodegradable fibers for fishery having no anxiety of environmental disruption caused by scraping and dumping them because they can be gradually hydrolyzed until diffusion in the natural environment.
CONSTITUTION: The aggregates are composed of an aliphatic polyester having the recurring units of the formula -O-CHR-CO(R is H or alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms). The aggregates have excellent biodegradability and physical properties to eliminate the anxiety of environmental disruption caused by scraping and dumping after use, thus they are very useful in industry and environmental protection.
