Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aggregate capable of reducing shrinkage of concrete, providing concrete excellent in crack resistance, and providing reduction of environmental load with immobilization of CO, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: There are provided (1) an aggregate obtained by a carbonation treatment of blast furnace slag, (2) the aggregate of (1) having the COcontent of 2 mass% or more, (3) the aggregate of (1) or (2) which is a mixture of coarse aggregate of 5 to 40 mm and fine aggregate of 5 mm or less, (4) a manufacturing method of any aggregate of (1) to (3) including pulverizing the blast furnace slag to a predetermined size of coarse aggregate or fine aggregate and carbonating it with soaking in water.
