PURPOSE: To obtain an aged liquor having the same qualities as those of liquor aged in an earthware pot, by oxidizing distilled liquor with air in a reaction tank filled with a packing material made of glaze-free pottery, supplying consumed air, eluting various metallic components from the packing material and vaporizing a volatile gas.

CONSTITUTION: Distilled liquor is sprinkled from a spray nozzle 5 of a top cover 18 of a reaction tank 1 filled with a packing material 2 made of glaze-free pottery, sent from the bottom of the reaction tank 1 by a liquor pump 3 to the spray nozzle 5 and circulated through the reaction tank 1. The distilled liquor is partially retained in the bottom, the reaction tank 1 is charged with air and the top cover 18 is equipped with air supply vent 6 to provide a proper amount of air. A volatile gas is vaporized from a volatile vent 7 of the top cover 18.
