Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitation blade for molten metal that reduces expansion difference resulting from a metal stud used as a support body of a refractory and reduces occurrence of a crack in the refractory to thereby improve durability of the refractory.SOLUTION: An agitation blade for molten metal has a shank core grid 10 and a blade part core grid 11 provided at the tip of the shank core grid 10, and surfaces 12 of the shank core grid 10 and blade part core grid 11 are covered with a castable refractory 13. At least on the surface 12 of the blade part core grid 11, a ring 14 formed by an inorganic fibrous rope is provided, and the ring 14 is buried into the castable refractory 13.
