The agitation defoaming apparatus includes a support member 3, a rotary base 6 supported rotatably by the support member 3, a container 10 for containing a material to be agitated K, which is fixed on the rotary base and thus revolved as the rotary base rotates, a first rotation driving mechanism 5 for revolving the container by rotating the rotary base, and a shear stress generation means 7 for causing shear stress to act on an agitation subject material contained within the container.
