To provide an agitation element, agitation method, electrochemical device with the agitation element, flow device and electrochemical measuring method which enable an effective agitation with a simple structure without generating a problem of contamination in a liquid.
The agitation element includes a piezoelectric substrate 1 and a pair of adjacently facing electrode patterns 2 arranged on the same surface as the piezoelectric substrate 1 (excluding a comb-teeth type). Only one of sides constituting the electrode pattern 2 adjacently faces a corresponding side in the other electrode pattern 2. The shape of a facing part 2a, at least adjacently facing mutually, of the electrode pattern 2 is rectangular and the long sides of the facing part 2a are arranged adjacently facing mutually and also nearly in parallel.
