PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitation method and an agitation device which are suitable for agitating and mixing a medicine and are capable of agitating and mixing the medicine in a state of being stored in a medicine container without requiring any mechanism for defoaming foam.SOLUTION: A medicine container 21 is disposed in a horizontal state in which a central axis 23 of the medicine container 21 lies along a horizontal direction 23a. The medicine container 21 is rotated around the central axis 23 so as to move a liquid medicine 24 in the medicine container 21 along an inner surface 21a of the medicine container 21. The liquid medicine 24 is agitated by subjecting the medicine container 21 to a reciprocating oscillation along the central axis 23 while rotating the medicine container 21.
