PURPOSE: To improve operation feeling of a horn switch provided in an air bag device.

CONSTITUTION: An air bag device 14 to be mounted on the boss section of a steering wheel body comprises an inflater 22, air bag 24 and cover body 34 mounted on a base plate 21. On the back face of the cover body 34, a membrane switch 53 is mounted, forming a horn switch. The folded air bag 24 is covered by a wrapping member 31 and held as it is. The wrapping member 31 comprises synthetic paper 33 stuck on the lower face of a cushion member 32. In this constitution, the feeling when the cover body 34 is pressed can be easily and properly adjusted.
