Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the inflation speed of an air bag inflating toward the rear side of a vehicle.
SOLUTION: In this air bag system M1 for a front passenger seat, an air bag 17 being folded in a case and stored and locked, flows an inflating gas G from a gas inflow port 18, when in inflation, opening two doors 15 and 15 set up on top of an instrument panel 2 and projecting them, and it is inflated to the rear side of a vehicle along a windshield 1. The air bag 17 is equipped with a straightening cloth 22 to be set up so as to cover the gas inflow port 18, inside. The straightening cloth 22 is arranged so as to close both sides of the horizontal direction of the vehicle, and also open both sides of the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, respectively.
