PURPOSE: To prevent fuel spray from being attached to the inner wall surface of a cylinder bore or the like by forming such structure that fuel spray hits a ring protrusion of the specified height formed at a valve body so as to reduce its flow speed and then change its flow direction largely outward in the radial direction.
CONSTITUTION: In an air-blast valve 20, the valve body 25 of a switching valve 23 openes a nozzle hole 24 through a movable core 28 when a solenoid 30 is energized. One end 32a of a nozzle chamber 32 communicated with the nozzle hole 24 is communicated with compressed air source 34 through a compressed air passage 33, and the nozzle hole 37 of a fuel injection valve 36 is disposed inside this nozzle chamber 32. In this case, a valve seat part 40 formed at the nozzle hole 24 is formed into conical shape expanded outward, while a protrusion 43 protruding radially outward is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the switching valve body 25 positioned outward in relation to the seat part 42 of the switching valve body 25. The height of this protrusion 43 is set in such a way that the protrusion 43 does not protrude radially outward going over the extended conical face 56 of the conical valve seat part 40 at the maximum lift time of the switching valve 23.
