PURPOSE: To prevent an engine from malfunctioning temporarily at the time of its starting at high temperature, by setting an air bleed quantity, when a float chamber or the like is in a high temperature state, in conformity with a control parameter of the air bleed quantity selected according to the high temperature state.
CONSTITUTION: In this controller, there is provided with a first parameter memory 3a which increases an air bleed quantity immediately after engine starting and then controls the air bleed quantity so as to be gradually decreased in accordance with the progress of driving. Also, there is provided with a second parameter memory 3b which decreases the air bleed quantity immediately after engine starting and then stores another control parameter that at first gradually increases the air bleed quantity and then controls it so as to be gradually decreased. And, when temperature in a float chamber 2b is high, the air bleed quantity is made so as to be set by an air bleed quantity decision device 5 on the basis of the first control parameter, but when the said temperature is in a state of being yet higher, it is set by the device 5 on the basis of the second control parameter.
