PURPOSE: To provide an air cleaner assisting the air cleaning function of a blower, capable of effectively removing the dust, etc., in the air and with the maintainability improved.

CONSTITUTION: A discharge electrode 1 to be impressed with a minus voltage and a dust collecting electrode 2 to be impressed with a plus voltage are provided in the main body 10 of an air cleaner, and dust collecting paper 3 is supplied between both electrodes from a holder 14 provided above the main body 10 and housing the rolled paper 3. The main body 10 is furnished with a slider 13 at the upper part, and the main body is slidably fixed on a shaft 11 set in the longitudinal direction on the upper face of an air conditioner 20. A voltage is impressed on both electrodes, hence the dust, etc., in the air are charged by the discharge electrode 1, and the charged dust, etc., are attracted toward the dust collecting electrode 2 and collected by the paper 3.
