Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in pressure loss, while improving both dust collection performance and impurity gas adsorption performance.SOLUTION: An air cleaner 10 includes: a housing 12 having an inlet 16 and an outlet 20; a first filter 30 provided inside the housing 12 and collecting dust contained in the air; and a second filter 40 arranged inside the housing 12 side by side with the first filter 30 in the air flow direction, and adsorbing sulfur-based gas contained in the air. The first filter 30 has a filter-medium where a nonwoven fabric and a filter paper, located on farther downstream side than the nonwoven fabric in the air flow direction and having a higher pack density than the nonwoven fabric, are adhering each other. The second filter 40 has a base material of honeycomb structure having a large number of through holes, an oxidation catalyst provided on the inner surface of the through hole, and oxidizing the sulfur-based gas contained in the air, and an adsorbent for adsorbing sulfur oxides.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
