To provide an air cleaner capable of decomposing odor element in a room with ozone generated by an ozone generating means (2) and securely decomposing acid substance generated at the time of decomposing the odor element by combining the ozone generating means (2) and deodorant means (4, 7).
In the air cleaner (1) for forcefully sucking and circulating air in a room by a fan (18) having a filter (6), the ozone generating means (2), the photocatalyst type deodorant means (4, 7) and a control circuit (11), the control circuit (11) performs control by linking ozone generation capability of the ozone generating means (2) and suction capability of the fan (18) and adjusts ozone quantity for mixing with air discharged from the air cleaner (1). The ozone discharged in the room decomposes odor element in the room. The substance generated in the room by ozone decomposition action is sucked by the air cleaner (1) and deodorized by the deodorant means (4, 7).
