To provide an air cleaner which uses a photocatalyst capable of keeping performance for a long period.
As shown in Figure, a dust collecting filter 6 for removing particle contamination such as dirt and dust, an absorptive deodorizing filter 4 as a deodorizing filter A5 for absorbing gas in the air, a set of photocatalyst filters 1 comprising a photocatalyst as a deodorizing means B3, and an irradiating lamp 2 for irradiating light to the photocatalyst filter 1 are disposed in order from side of an inlet port 8 inside the air cleaner body 10. By this invention, because the absorptive deodorizing filter 4 and the photocatalyst filters 1 are used together, even if the lighting time of an irradiating lamp 15 is shortened, good deodorizing performance may be obtained.
