Abstract:
To reduce damage received by a person colliding with an engine hood and secure an appropriate flow rate of air sent out from an air cleaner.SOLUTION: An air cleaner 100 includes: an upper case 20 disposed below an engine hood of a vehicle; a lower case 10 accommodating a filter element 30 through which air taken in from outside of the vehicle passes and mounted to the lower side of the upper case 20; and an outlet pipe 21 provided in the upper case 20, connected to a duct and sending out the air that has passed through the filter element 30 to the duct. The upper case 20 comprises a thin wall section having thickness at a level that prevents deformation of the upper case 20 due to intake negative pressure and causes breakage when a load is applied due to abutment of the engine food. The outlet pipe 21 comprises a thick wall section thicker than the thin wall section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
