Title:
AIR CLEANER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02115053
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the removal of mold and a tick with ease by providing an air suction port at the lower end of a casing, an air blow-off port at the upper end thereof, and a blower in the air passage which interconnects both of the ports.

CONSTITUTION: When a blower 13 is rotated, indoor air is introduced into an air passage 12 through a suction grille 7 of an air suction port 5 and a prefilter 6, while large dusts are removed by means of the prefilter 6. If, in this case, the opening of a control vane 20 is adjusted to a smaller one, a suction air stream of high velocity can be generated, so that mold and ticks attached to a carpet are sucked into the air passage 12. The air leaving the blower 13 flows into an air washing unit 14 desposed in the upper section of the air passage 12, where dust particles are captured by a dust collecting filter 17 and further adsorbed to a grounded plate 19 on the dust collection side, while bad- smelling components are removed by a deodorization filter 18.
