To provide an air cleaner which does not need filter replacement and maintenance, can be used even in summer, and removes polluted gas of dust, polluted mold particles, volatile organic compounds, etc., in air by heat- decomposition.
A dust attraction means 7 in which a filter for catching polluted particles and an attraction part for attracting polluted gas are integrated and heating means 10 for heating the attraction means 7 are installed in the ventilation passage of an air cleaner. The polluted particles caught by the attraction means 7 and the polluted gas are incinerated by the heating means 10 so that the means 7 is regenerated into an original state, making maintenance unnecessary. Since the means 7 is compact, power consumption necessary for the incineration can be reduced to check the increase in room temperature, enabling the air cleaner to be used even in summer.
