To provide an air cleaning apparatus capable of efficiently regenerating deodorizing filters by irradiating the whole surfaces of the deodorizing filters including photocatalysts, with light in regard to the air cleaning apparatus using the photocatalysts.
The air cleaning apparatus comprises a lamp 2 serving as a light source for activating the photocatalysts; the deodorizing filters 3 including the photocatalysts and arranged around the lamp 2; and a fan 4 serving as a blowing means for supplying air to the deodorizing filters 3. The plurality of deodorizing filters 3 are arranged in proximity, and the deodorizing filters 3 are movable to catch light from the lamp 2. The whole of the deodorizing filters 3 is thereby irradiated with light, and a pollutant can be efficiently eliminated.
