To provide an air compressor of high maintainability enabling cleaning or replacing of an air filter by easily removing from a compressed air generating part or a driving part.
This air compressor includes a tank part for storing compressed air, the compressed air generating part for generating the compressed air by compressing air purified by passing through the air filter 27, and the driving part having a motor for driving the compressed air generating part. The air filter 27 is detachably arranged in the compressed air generating part (or the driving part). Actually, a recessed part 13b for insetting-extracting the air filter 27 is formed in the compressed air generating part (or the driving part), and a grip 27b is arranged in an end part of the air filter 27. The grip 27b is exposed to a surface of a body cover 7 covering the compressed air generating part and the driving part.
