PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a height of an air compressor.SOLUTION: An air compressor 1 includes: a compressor part 4 which generates compressed air; an axial gap motor 3 which drives the compressor part 4; a tank 5a which stores the compressed air generated by the axial gap motor 3; and a fan 15 which cools the axial gap motor 3. In the air compressor 1, the axial gap motor 3 is disposed above the tank 5a, and the compressor part 4 is disposed above the axial gap motor 3. A shaft 3a, which is a rotary shaft of the axial gap motor 3, extends so as to be parallel to a height direction of the air compressor 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
