PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of operation noise of a compressor in an air conditioner attached to the ceiling of a vehicle by suspending the compressor enclosed by a cover to which noise-tight material is attached.
CONSTITUTION: A compressor 7 of an air conditioner 1 to be attached to the ceiling of a vehicle is suspended in a mechanical chamber 3 by an installation device 20. That is, a fitting hook 7a is tightly fit as a flange around the periphery of the compressor 7 and held on a lower cover 22 with a packing 21. An upper cover 24 is carried on the upper side of the fitting hook 7a with a packing 23 similar to the above and is bound to said packings 21, 23 and the lower cover 22 with fastenings 25. Noise covers 26, 27 are adhered to the external faces of the upper and lower covers 24, 24. The upper cover 24 is attached by connecting fixtures 33 to the upper frame 31 of a frame S secured on the bottom of the mechanical chamber 3, thereby suspending the compressor 7.
