Abstract:

To reuse existing refrigerant piping without impairing the reliability of an air conditioner.

The air conditioner 1 is constituted of: a compressor 7; an outdoor machine 2 having a four-way valve 8 and an outdoor heat exchanger 9; an indoor machine 3 having an indoor expansion valve 13 and an indoor heat exchanger 14; and liquid refrigerant piping 4 and gas refrigerant piping 5 which connect these items. Strainers 18, 19 collecting solid foreign matter which circulate in a refrigeration cycle together with a refrigerant are arranged at connecting ports of the outdoor machine 2, the liquid refrigerant piping 4 and the gas refrigerant piping 5, respectively. The minimum clearance between bearings of the compressor 7 is 1-20 μm, and the strainers 18, 19 can collect the solid foreign matter which are larger than the minimum clearance.
