Title:
AIR CONDITIONER FOR ELECTRIC AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02220913
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make cooling and heating even when an automobile is stopped by connecting indoor and outdoor heat exchangers directly to a compressor, switching over refrigerant circulating direction in normal or reverse whereby reversible refrigerant cycle is formed, and providing an inverter-controlled motor for compressor in addition to a motor for driving.

CONSTITUTION: In cooling, a compressor 10 is driven by a motor 40, a four-way valve 12 is off, the delivery port 1a of the compressor 10 is connected directly to an outdoor heat exchanger 16, indoor and outdoor fans 18 and 32 are driven, and a two-way valve 36 is closed. In this case, electric power can be saved by detecting the pressure of the outdoor heat exchanger 16 and starting to operate the outdoor fan when the pressure reaches at a specified level. In heating, the four-way valve 12 is switched over to reverse the flow direction of refrigerant flowing through the heat exchangers 16 and 30. The switch-over of the four-way valve 12, opening and closing of the two-way valve 36, control of the indoor and outdoor fans 18 and 32, and rpm control of the motor 40 through an inverter 42 are made by a controller 50 to be operated according to the instructions from an operator. With this constitution, cooling and heating can be performed even when the vehicle is stopped.
