To provide an air conditioner with a deodorizing and sterilizing gas supplying means which can prevent the generation and proliferation of bad odor and germs, bacteria and molds by mixing proper amount of deodorizing and sterilizing gas with the cold or warm air blown out from the inside of the air conditioner.

The air conditioner is provided with deodorizing and sterilizing gas supplying device with the deodorizing and sterilizing gas supplying means disposed in the air flow channel between an air intake and a heat exchanger. The deodorizing and sterilizing gas supplying means is provided with a chemical container and an evaporation speeding up section to speed up evaporation of the chemicals in the container.
