Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a railway vehicle which can suppress a drastic decrease in the air volume of an outdoor blower caused by an increase in draft resistance of an outside air discharge port due to travel wind.SOLUTION: An outdoor upper surface cover 8 for covering an outdoor blower provided in an air conditioner for a railway vehicle comprises: outside air suction ports 9 for sucking outside air, which are provided in the front and rear in a traveling direction of the railway vehicle; an outside air discharge port 10 for discharging outside air, which is provided in the center portion in a width direction of the railway vehicle; projection parts 11 whose height dimension of the center part in the width direction is smaller than the height dimension of both end parts in the width direction and which project in the front and rear of the outside air discharge port in a height direction; and outside air intake ports 12 outside the projection parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
