To bring the control characteristics of the blow-out temperatures from a plurality of blow-out openings close to almost the same level while achieving the size-reduction of an air-conditioner case.
An air conditioner for a vehicle is configured as follows. A warm-air bypass passage is provided at part in a space, in which an air mixing chamber 17 is formed, inside an air-conditioner case 11. A second warm-air passage 32 is provided in a region on the side opposite to a first warm-air passage 14 across the air mixing chamber 17. The warm air flowing in the warm-air bypass passage is turned around so as to be blown out from the second warm-air passage 32 to the air mixing chamber 17. Therefore, each warm air from the first/second warm-air passages 31, 32 is made to flow into the air mixing chamber 17 so as to sandwich the cool air therebetween. Thus, when the cool air and the warm air are mixed with each other, air-conditioned air after mixing the cool air and the warm air in the air mixing chamber 17 can be always sent to each blow-out opening 18, 19, and 20. Consequently, it is possible to bring the temperature of each air-conditioned air, blown out from each blow-out opening 18, 19, and 20, close to the equal temperature.
