To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of executing control so that a mixed condition of cold air and hot air becomes a desired condition by a simple structure.
The air conditioner for the vehicle includes an evaporator 4, a heater core 5, a hot air passage a, a cold air passage b, an air mix damper 8 arranged in the interflow part between the cold air passage b and the hot air passage a and adjusting an air temperature by a mixing ratio between cold air and hot air, a defrost damper 14, a face damper 13, and a foot damper 15 guiding air to a foot blowoff side via a foot air passage 9. In the interflow part, a hot air tunnel 18 mainly guiding only the hot air from the heater core 5 to a face blowoff side is arranged. By opening a boundary wall of the hot air tunnel 18 with the foot air passage 9, a part of the air from the hot air passage a is supplied to the foot air passage 9.
