To resolve a problem that a heating capacity becomes insufficient since operating fluid in a heating circuit is discharged into a cooling circuit to restrain an abnormal high-pressure condition upon heating or another problem that the operating fluid, whose pressure is increased to a high pressure by the work of a compressor, is discharged wastefully to the outside of the heating circuit and thereby lowering an energy efficiency, in an air conditioner equipped with a hot gas bypass heater or the heating circuit.
An air conditioner is provided with a compressor, a cooling circuit, a heating circuit and a discharging capacity changing means 181 while the compressor 101 is provided with a suction unit 115, a discharging unit 120, a first passage 201 and a second passage 105. The cooling circuit is provided with a condenser and a heat exchanger while the heating circuit is provided with a bypass passage and another heat exchanger. When a discharging pressure Pd has become a predetermined pressure condition, a discharging capacity changing means 181 opens a passage, communicating the discharging pressure with the suction chamber 115 through a driving chamber 110.
