This air conditioner comprises an indoor unit exchanging heat with the indoor air, the indoor unit comprises a transverse flow fan 55 distributing the air indoors, a fan motor 57 driving the transverse flow fan 55, a motor installation space M receiving the fan motor 57, and a ventilation space F receiving the transverse flow fan 55, and the fan motor 57 comprises a shaft (rotating shaft) 57a extending from the motor main body to the ventilation space F and connected with the transverse fan 55 received in the ventilation space F, and a vibration control rubber (vibration control means) 57b disposed around the rotating shaft. A vibration control rubber fixing wall (fixing plate) 65 is further disposed to control the movement of the vibration control rubber 57b.
