The multilocular air conditioner is equipped with an outdoor unit 33 including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an outdoor side pressure reducing means, and an indoor unit 35 including an indoor side pressure reducing means and an indoor heat exchanger. The plurality of indoor units are connected by refrigerant piping to one outdoor unit. The air conditioner is provided with a supercooler 11 cooling a liquid refrigerant passing through a piping portion 1 between the outdoor pressure reducing means 7 and the indoor side pressure reducing means 17, 19, and a supercooling passage 25 cooling the liquid refrigerant of the supercooler and guiding it to a suction side of the compressor by a refrigerant drawn out of the piping portion and pressure-reduced via a supercooling pressure reducing device 27. When the cooling operation of the indoor unit is carried out, the supercooling pressure reducing device is controlled so as to be opened.
