To provide an air conditioner that does not require a circuit of a power source etc. for a display means and further improves energy saving performance.
The air conditioner includes: a diaphragm 8 mounted on an outer hull surface positioned in a direction parallel to a bearing 10 direction positioned at the center of a drive means 6 for driving a blowing means 4 which is longer by a certain length to an outer hull; a vibration detection means 9 mounted on the outer hull surface in a vertical direction with respect to the bearing 10 direction of the drive means 6; a conversion means 11 for converting a signal from the vibration detection means 9; and a display means 7 connected to the conversion means 11 which displays an operation state. A tip of the diaphragm 8 amplifies the vibration of the drive means 6 by the vibration of the diaphragm 8 toward the bearing 10 direction of the drive means 6 due to vibration generated from the drive means 6. The vibration is imparted to the vibration detection means 9 by the amplified vibration so that a detected signal is converted by the conversion means 11 and the display means 7 is energized.
