Abstract:

To provide an air conditioner with high reliability, including a gas-liquid separator.

A gas-liquid separator 10 includes: a container body 11 holding a refrigerant; a suction pipe 12 with one end penetrating the container body 11 and facing an interior of the container body 11, and the another end penetrating an outer shell 21 of a compressor 20 and connected to a compression mechanism part 22; and a liquid return pipe 14 with one end penetrating a container body 21 and facing an interior of the container body 21, and the another end connected to or penetrating the suction pipe 12 and facing an interior of the suction pipe 12. The one end of the liquid return pipe 14 is disposed lower than the one end of the suction pipe 12, and a distance between the another end of the liquid return pipe 14 and the compression mechanism part 22 is within five times of a diameter of the suction pipe 12.
