Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air conditioner which can automatically switch an indoor machine power receiving system and an outdoor machine power receiving system according to a status of product installation without the necessity for a part for setting an indoor power receiving type or an outdoor power receiving type, and the necessity for setting work at product shipment or the product installation, and can reduce management costs at production and after the product shipment, part costs and part mounting costs.SOLUTION: It is determined whether or not communication to an indoor machine side communication circuit from an outdoor machine side communication circuit is normally performed at the start of power reception to an indoor machine side control base board (ST102), when the communication to the indoor machine side communication circuit from the outdoor machine side communication circuit is normally performed (ST102; Yes), power supply control is performed by considering that the air conditioner is operated by the outdoor machine power receiving system (ST103), and when the communication to the indoor machine side communication circuit from the outdoor machine side communication circuit is not normally performed (ST102; No), the power supply control is performed by considering that the air conditioner is operated by the indoor machine power receiving system (ST105).
