PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that has a high-performance heat exchanger.SOLUTION: Heat transfer pipes 26b1, 26b2 extend from the other end part 21B to one end part 21A in an intermediate column L2 respectively, and are coupled at the one end part 21A to become heat transfer pipes 26c1, 26c2, which are formed to make one round between the one end part 21A and the other end part 21B in a top column L1. Heat transfer pipes 26b3, 26b4 extend from the other end part 21B to the one end part 21A in the intermediate column L2 respectively, and are coupled at the one end part 21A to become heat transfer pipes 26c3, 26c4, which are formed to make one round between the one end part 21A and the other end part 21B in the top column L1. The heat transfer pipe 26c2 extending from the other end part 21B to the one end part 21A and the heat transfer pipe 26c4 extending from the other end part 21B to the one end part 21A are arranged to adjoin each other.
