Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a change from a pump cycle to a compressor cycle even when a cooling load is changed during an operation in the pump cycle.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes a compressor 2, a condenser 3, an expansion valve 4, an evaporator 5, a refrigerant pump 32 and control devices 15, 23 for controlling the compressor and the refrigerant pump. The control device has an operation control function in a compressor cycle for performing a refrigeration cycle operation by using the compressor and an operation control function in a pump cycle for performing the refrigeration cycle operation by using the refrigerant pump, and enables the operation by selecting the functions. The control device further includes an operation control function in a pump-compressor combined use cycle for performing the operation by using the compressor in combination during the operation in the pump cycle using the refrigerant pump. During the operation in the pump-compressor combined use cycle, the pressure on the condenser side is made lower than that on the evaporator side, to perform the operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
