Title:
AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3861891
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the control width in controlling the evaporation capability of a heat source-side heat exchanger by a heat source-side expansion valve in an air conditioner having a refrigerant circuit, which includes the heat source-side heat exchanger adapted so that refrigerant flows in from the lower side and flows out from the upper side when it functions as the evaporator of the refrigerant, and can switch the heat source-side heat exchanger and a use-side heat exchanger to independently function as the evaporator or condenser of refrigerant.
SOLUTION: In this air conditioner 1, the refrigerant discharged from a compression mechanism 21 is bypassed to the intake side of the compression mechanism 21 through a first bypass circuit 102 at the time of operating the heat source-side heat exchanger 23 as the evaporator, the heat source-side heat exchanger 23 is switched to an operation for functioning as the condenser, and the heat source-side expansion valve 24 is closed, whereby refrigerating machine oil collected in the heat source-side heat exchanger 23 is returned to the intake side of the compression mechanism 21 from the lower part of the heat exchanger 23 through a first oil return circuit 101.
