Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to keep refrigeration machine oil distribution conditions inside a cycle uniform in a refrigerant quantity judging operation, and to minimize the error in predicting the refrigerant quantity produced by the difference in the solubility of the refrigerant in the oil. An air conditioner (1) is provided with a refrigerant circuit (7) and an operation controller (6a to 6c). The refrigerant circuit is circuit that includes a heat source unit (2a to 2c), a refrigerant communication pipe (4, 5), an expansion mechanism (29a to 29c, 31a, 31b, ... ), and a utilization unit (3a, 3b, ... ). The heat source unit has a compression mechanism (21a to 21c) and a heat source side heat exchanger (24a to 24c). The heat source unit is connected to the refrigerant communication pipe. The utilization unit has a utilization side heat exchanger (32a, 32b, ... ) and is connected to the refrigerant gas communication pipe. The operation controller performs an oil-return operation in advance for returning oil pooled in the refrigerant circuit when a refrigerant quantity judging operation is carried out for judging the refrigerant quantity inside the refrigerant circuit.
