Abstract:
[Problem] To circulate a more appropriate amount of a cooling medium in an air-conditioner capable of switching between a natural circulation cycle and a compressor cycle. [Solution] An air-conditioner capable of operating by switching between a forced circulation cycle, wherein a cooling medium is circulated between a compressor (21), an outside heat exchanger (23), an expansion valve (26), and a usage-side heat exchanger (28), and a natural circulation cycle, wherein the cooling medium is circulated by means of the density difference between a first bypass pipe (31), the outside heat exchanger (23), an auxiliary outside heat exchanger (24), the expansion valve (26), and the usage-side heat exchanger (28), and constructed such that the outside heat exchanger functions as a condenser during the cooling operation in the forced circulation cycle, and the outside heat exchanger and the auxiliary outside heat exchanger function as condensers during the cooling operation in the natural circulation cycle. In addition, the construction is such that during the cooling operation in the forced circulation cycle excess cooling medium can be stored in the auxiliary outside heat exchanger.
