PURPOSE: To obtain the most comfortable environment in a room indifferent from condition of airstream in the room by providing a correcting means which corrects set temperature from detection result of an airstream sensor and predetermined comfortability conditions.

CONSTITUTION: An average wind speed and speed variation detecting part 42 catches detection result of an airstream sensor 24 from output an of an ultrared ray receiving sensor 30, and outputs average wind speed data and wind variation data. Outputs from a set temperature detecting part 41 and the average wind speed and speed variation detecting part 42 are sent to a set temperature correcting part 43, which compares the average wind speed data and wind variation data with predetermined comfortability conditions stored in a memory 44, and corrects set temperature data on the base of the comparison. Output from the set temperature correcting part 43 is sent to an air conditioning load detecting part 45, which detects difference between the set temperature corected in the set temperature correcting part 43 and a detected temperature by a room temperature sensor 8 as an air conditioning load, and controls an inverter circuit 11 on the base of the detected values.
