Title:
AIR-CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03263543
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform healthy and effective dehumidifying without an increase in the power consumption of a heater by a method wherein the dehumidified air is divided into two streams, one stream which by-passes the heater and reaches a first air outlet, and the other stream which reaches a second air outlet through the heater, and only the air to be blown from the second air outlet is given an amount of heat equivalent to the sensible heat which is exchanged at a heat exchanger.

CONSTITUTION: When a cross flow fan 5 is cycled in dehumidifying operation, the air flow (a) is heat-exchanged at the upper part of a heat exchanger 4, and the sensible heat is used to condense the moisture in the air flow, so that the absolute humidity of the air flow is reduced when passing through the heat exchanger. After that, the air flow after dehumidified is given an amount of heat equivalent to the sensible heat when passing through a heater 9, returned to the original temperature before heat-exchange at the heat exchanger 4 and blown out from a second air outlet 8a through a second duct 8b. On the other hand, since the air flow (b) does not pass through the heater 9 after passing through the lower part of the heat exchanger 4, the air flow is kept at a low temperature and blown out from a first air outlet 7a through the cross flow fan 5 and a first duct 7b.
