To deal with the fluctuation in load in an extensive range by providing a bypass circuit to be directly communicated with an accumulator from the output side of a compressor, arranging a flow rate regulating valve and a heat exchanger in the bypass circuit, and receiving the output signal of a detecting means to operate the flow rate regulating valve.
A bypass circuit 31 to be directly communicated with the upstream side of an accumulator 18 from the output side of a compressor 11 is provided. A flow rate regulating valve 21 to regulate the flow rate of the circuit and a heat exchanger 23 for reducing the superheat to exchange heat with the outside air are arranged in the bypass circuit 31. A high pressure sensor 41, a discharge temperature sensor 42, and a suction temperature sensor 43 are provided as a detecting means to detect the discharged refrigerant gas pressure, the discharged refrigerant gas temperature, and the sucked refrigerant gas temperature of the compressor 11 is provided on an air conditioner 1. A control means 40 calculates the estimated value from the detected value of the detecting means 41-43 to determine the operation quantity of the flow rate regulating valve 21. The flow rate of the refrigerant gas can be finely and rapidly regulated thereby.
