Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress generation of various germs in the air conditioner and to kil various germs from the external part of the air conditioner by applying a paint having a germ-killing effect to a filter, a heat exchanger and a water receptacle within the air conditioner or forming these parts by a material having a germ-killing effect.

CONSTITUTION: A paint containing a germ-killing agent is applied to a filter 8 and a germ-killing agent added in an aqueous paint containing a surfactant and synthetic silica is applied to the surface of a heat exchanger 3. Further, a paint containing an antimold agent and an antibacterial agent, mainly composed of derivatives of chlorophenylpyridazine, is applied to a water receptacle 5. A part of various germs floating within the room is sucked by means of a fan 2 and trapped by a filter 8 and sterilized by a germ-killing agent applied to the filter, those which are not trapped by the filter 8 are trapped when passing through the heat exchanger 3 Where they are sterilized. Therefore, when these operations are repeated, various germs within the room are reduced and clean and pure air is prcduced and various germs are not discharged to the room.
